Nicole Li founded The Li Law Firm to assist health care providers with regulators and insurance companies.  Along with providing compliance and business advice, Nicole has successfully defended the licenses of dozens of providers against allegations of unprofessional conduct before the Washington State Department of Health.  She offers strong defense to physicians ensnared by the Washington Physician Health Program.  She has also helped many health care providers and practice groups either reduce or eliminate post-audit repayment demands from insurance companies.  She is experienced with helping providers establish, maintain, and defend their credentials with payors.

Nicole Li, Founder

Nicole Li graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. She also holds a Master of Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, with a focus on medical research ethics and health policy. She worked as a Legal Advisor to New Zealand’s Health and Disability Commissioner before returning to her hometown of Seattle to begin her private legal practice.

Nicole is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the King County Bar Association. She holds the position of Vice President of the International Community Health Services Foundation Board of Directors. She also serves on a biomedical Institutional Review Board at the University of Washington.

Nicole has published in several arenas, including the King County Medical Society Bulletin and the New Zealand Journal of Bioethical Inquiry.

Nicole also holds a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Brown University, where she graduated with honors.

Sacha Talpur provides clients with attentive and insightful legal counsel in the areas of business, nonprofit organization, intellectual property, and employment law.  She’s a problem solver who excels at finding creative solutions. Sacha is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and National Lawyers Guild. She is a graduate of Seattle University School of Law, where she did policy research and assisted low-income clients at the Housing Justice Project, Washington Lawyers for the Arts, and the predatory lending clinic.

Before joining our firm, Sacha was as an attorney for the tech and startup industry for five years where she focused on contracts and internet law, with a specialty in trademarks.   She has also published a legal paper in a policy journal and memorably served as a state delegate.

Sacha holds undergraduate degrees in journalism and political science.  Before law school, she worked to pass public policy and ran an alt-weekly newspaper. In her spare time, Sacha enjoys photography, dancing and house music, and video games.  She is also involved in political organizing and activism for social and economic justice.
